An EV (electric vehicle) accident on the Kantilo Road section in Makwanpurgadhi Rural Municipality has killed two people.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal from the District Police Office, Makwanpur, the accident happened in Dharampani, Makwanpurgadhi-2. The EV (BaPra 01-006 Kha 7072) was coming from Kathmandu to Hetauda when it crashed.
A 13-year-old girl, Manusi Magar from Bagmati Rural Municipality-7 in Sarlahi, and a 50-year-old woman, Nilam Devi Raut from Durga Bhawani Rural Municipality-5 in Rautahat, died in the accident. Magar’s body was found in a nearby stream, while Raut died during treatment at Hetauda Hospital.
Fourteen others were injured in the accident, including the driver, 29-year-old Kamlabahadur Darlami from Bagmati Rural Municipality-5 in Sarlahi. They are being treated at Hetauda Hospital and Makwanpur Cooperative Hospital.
The vehicle had fallen about 200 meters down from a bend in the road.
