A bus traveling from Tipeni, Sindhupalchok, to Kathmandu was involved in an accident near Melamchi.
The passenger bus with the number plate Bagmati Province 3-01-005K 9976 crashed in the Melamchi area.
According to District Police Chief Rameshwar Karki, around 8 people were on board. The injured were taken to Melamchi Municipal Hospital for treatment.
The injured include:
- Anil Bhandari from Panchpokhari Thangpal-6
- Susmita Jyoti from Chanoute, Helambu
- Pema Lama and Norki Tamang from Bhotang
- Driver Maheshwar Dhakal
- Binayak Dhakal
- Ram Chandra Paudel from Dhap
The hospital is preparing to refer some of the injured to other hospitals after basic treatment. Most of them have minor injuries, but the driver, Maheshwar Dhakal, is in serious condition.
