Gas bullet and truck accident in Chitwan's Tikauli jungle, two injured

Two people were injured when a gas bullet and a truck collided on the East-West Highway in the Tikauli jungle area of Chitwan.

The injured have been identified as 24-year-old Prabin Praja, the co-driver of the truck from Rapti Municipality-2, and 45-year-old Jagdev Yadav, the gas bullet driver from Bihar, India.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabindra Khanal of the Chitwan District Police Office, the collision occurred between an India-registered gas bullet (NL-01 N 0133), which was heading towards Bharatpur, and a truck with registration number Bagmati Province 03-001 Kha 3419, which was coming from the opposite direction.

Prabin Praja is receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College, while Jagdev Yadav is undergoing treatment at the Old Medical College.

Police have taken the truck driver into custody for further investigation.
