Tara Air suspends from Asar 2

Tara Airlines, which regularly operates on this route using its Twin Otter aircraft, stopped its flights starting Asar 2. according to Sujan Lalchan, the station in-charge in Jomsom, tara will resume flights in the first week of September.

He said, “flights have been stopped due to declining passengers and bad weather. flights will resume once the new season begins.”

Summit Air to follow suit from Asar 20

Summit Airlines has also announced it will stop Pokhara-Jomsom flights from Asar 20 for two months. station in-charge Suman Thakali from Jomsom confirmed that flights will be halted starting next week.

“At present, only one daily flight is running on this route, and passenger numbers are going down,” he added.

Monsoon affecting all travel options

Deepak Pokharel, head of the Jomsom Civil Aviation Office, said that the number of air travelers has dropped with the start of the monsoon. tara has already halted operations, and summit will stop soon too.

Inspector Bishal Adhikari, spokesperson at the Mustang District Police Office, also noted that not only air travel but even road travel to Jomsom has decreased due to the rainy season.
