The fire at Shahid Gate in Dhangadhi caused damage worth nearly 15 million rupees.

The fire started at Samir Mobile Gallery, owned by Tasar Ansari, on Sunday evening and spread to nearby shops, causing significant damage, according to police.

Inspector Darshan Khadka of the District Police Office, Kailali, said the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. It was brought under control the same night with the help of two fire engines from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City.

Preliminary reports indicate around 900,000–1,000,000 rupees worth of damage to Samir Mobile Gallery. Shri Krishna Enterprises, owned by Suresh Pathak, suffered losses exceeding 10 million rupees.

Similarly, Arjun Arts, run by Dipendra Prasad Panta, incurred damages of around 800,000–900,000 rupees, while Lovely Tailor, operated by Majibul Ansari, reported losses of about 400,000–500,000 rupees.
