A motorboat was found operating illegally in the Babai River in Dang by blocking the natural flow of water with a dam.
Chief District Officer of Dang, Krishna Prasad Lamsal, issued an order on Tuesday to stop the operation of the motorboat.
The district administration took action because the motorboat business was not registered with the Tourism Department, and the river’s water flow had been blocked without permission.
The administration also mentioned that a large crowd gathering on the nearby bridge to watch the motorboat has increased the risk of accidents.
Authorities have ordered them not to continue such activities until all legal requirements are fulfilled.
