A jeep traveling from Gaur, Rautahat, to Kathmandu was involved in an accident in Batasé, Indrasarowar Rural Municipality, northern Makawanpur. Ten people were injured in the crash.
The accident happened on Wednesday afternoon when the jeep (Na 1 Ja 5485) lost its brakes and fell about 100 meters down into a stream along the Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Sisneri-Kathmandu road section.
According to Makawanpur’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shyamu Aryal, three passengers were seriously injured. One person sustained moderate injuries, while five others had minor injuries.
The injured have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment, but their identities are yet to be confirmed. DSP Aryal also mentioned that the jeep driver is in contact with the Khani Khet police post.
