'Jogi' Arrested After Hiding in Old Age Home Following Murder in Tanahun

Police have arrested Lok Bahadur Mahat, known by his alias Jogi, who was on the run after being involved in a murder case in Devghat-5, Tanahun.

The incident took place on Asar 5, when 32-year-old Prakash Paudel was beaten to death after consuming alcohol. Two other suspects—Buddha Saru Magar of Tansen-8, Palpa, and Ram Lama of Hetauda-3, Makwanpur—had already been arrested shortly after the crime.

Both suspects have been remanded for 5 more days for further investigation, as granted by the Tanahun District Court.

Meanwhile, Mahat, aged 46 and originally from Bardibas-1, Mahottari, had been hiding in a Chitwan-based old age home run by the Rotary Club of Chitwan. He was captured by police on Asar 7 and transferred to Area Police Office, Abukhaireni, for investigation.
