Kathmandu Hosts Special Event for Chinese New Year Celebration

A special event was organized in the capital on Saturday to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The event was hosted by the Chinese Tibetan Book Center in Kathmandu and included an interactive discussion on Nepal-China bilateral relations. Additionally, a one-day exhibition was held, showcasing recent developments in Tibet, an autonomous region of China, through pictures.

During the program, Dr. Harish Chandra Shah, the President of the Nepal-China Cultural and Educational Council, stated that Araniko and Bhrikuti played an important role in building the foundation of Nepal-China relations. Similarly, cultural expert Ganesh Kumar GC mentioned that Araniko was not just a pride of Nepal but of all of Asia. Journalist Kiran Gautam shared that he has been playing a key role in connecting people from both countries by publishing a newspaper in the Tibetan language in Nepal.

The event also featured artistic performances by Chinese and Nepali artists.
