The much-anticipated film Laj Sharanam, produced by JPT Creations, the makers behind the TV series Sakkigo Ni, has released an intriguing teaser. The teaser offers a glimpse into the storyline and character development, building excitement around the film. Set to release on the 14th of Falgun (March 2025), the movie will be available in Nepal and internationally, coinciding with the celebration of Shivaratri.
The teaser primarily focuses on actor Sitaram Kattel, famously known as ‘Dhurmush,’ and features brief glimpses of all the cast members. It begins with the story of a young man from Upper Dolpa preparing to go abroad for work. The teaser then shifts to a coffin, which plays a central role in the unfolding story. The coffin serves as a metaphorical element around which the narrative deepens, leading the audience through moments of curiosity and surprising twists. Laj Sharanam will be released internationally by Seven Seas International. Directed by Kumar Kattel, known for his work on Sakkigo Ni, the film stars familiar faces from the TV series, including Arjun Ghirmire (Pande), Sagar Lamsal (Bale), Harish Niroula (Krokoz), and Priyana Acharya (Munni). Other notable actors include Mukunda Shrestha, Mahesh Tripathi, Vijay Baral, Arpan Thapa, Kamalmani Nepal, Sitaram Kattel ‘Dhurmush’, Renu Yogi, Bijay Lama, and Mala Limbu.
The film is produced by Naveen Shrestha, with Ramnaresh Sah and Srijana Khadka serving as co-producers. Sudip Baral is handling the cinematography. Laj Sharanam is one of the most awaited films of the year, and the teaser has certainly heightened the anticipation among audiences.
