Excitement is building for the upcoming romance drama Spring of Youth, as FTISLAND’s Lee Hong Ki and ILLIT’s Wonhee have been confirmed to make special appearances. On April 24, the production team unveiled surprise still cuts featuring the two stars, sparking curiosity among fans.

Spring of Youth centers around Sa Gye (played by Ha Yoo Joon), a top K-pop idol who finds himself abruptly kicked out of his band. Seeking a fresh start, he enrolls in college and begins experiencing campus life for the first time. There, he meets Kim Bom (played by Park Ji Hu), and the two gradually grow closer as Sa Gye rediscovers his passion for music by joining a student band.

Lee Hong Ki, known both for his vocal talent and acting skills, is returning to the small screen after some time away. In the teaser still, he’s seen immersed in stacks of books, wearing round glasses and curly hair that gives off a scholarly and quirky charm—an unexpected but intriguing look for the idol-turned-actor.

Wonhee of ILLIT lights up the screen with her flawless peach-toned makeup, flowing straight hair, and gentle smile. Her appearance has already drawn attention for its elegance and softness, though the nature of her role is still under wraps.

The drama’s production team shared their excitement, stating, “We’re thrilled to have global K-pop icon Lee Hong Ki and rising star Wonhee join Spring of Youth for special cameo roles. Their presence alone brought energy and charm to the set, leaving a lasting impression. We encourage viewers to stay tuned to find out when and how they’ll appear in the storyline.”

Adding to the buzz, it was previously announced that actors Jung Hae In and Rowoon will also be making guest appearances in the drama, further boosting anticipation ahead of its premiere.
