A man died after being electrocuted in Deurali, Mahalaxmi Municipality-1, Dhankuta. According to the police, the victim was 60-year-old Sobitman Khadka, a resident.
The incident happened on Saturday evening when an electric current leaked from a wire buried in the ground to support an electricity pole. Khadka died at the scene, as confirmed by DSP Om Prakash Khanal, spokesperson of the District Police Office.
His body was found with burns on both hands and part of his face, and his clothes were partially burned. On Sunday, the police visited the site, completed the investigation, and handed over the body to the family. A post-mortem was conducted at the district hospital.
