A child who was reported missing during a fire incident in Dhanpalthan Rural Municipality, Morang, has been found safe.
However, the body of a young girl was discovered in a burned state.
According to the police, quoting locals, two children were initially reported dead in the fire that broke out on Tuesday afternoon in Kadma village of Dhanpalthan-6.
However, Morang Police spokesperson DSP Bed Prakash Joshi told The Ritible that the boy, who was believed to have been caught in the fire, has been found.
The body of 4-year-old Reshma Khatun, daughter of Anit Miya, was recovered.
Meanwhile, 6-year-old Arshad Ali, who was also reported to be caught in the fire, has been found safe. He is the son of Anit Miya.
According to Morang’s Chief District Officer Indradev Yadav, the boy was found in a nearby field close to his house, and his condition is normal.
Police reported that nine houses were burned in the fire that started this afternoon. DSP Joshi informed that the fire is almost under control.
