The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast Division reports that western and central Nepal are currently under the influence of westerly and local winds. Meanwhile, Koshi Province is largely experiencing monsoon winds.
Daytime Forecast (Today)
Expect partly to generally cloudy skies across the country. There’s a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in several places, including the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces and other hilly areas.
The department also warns of a possibility of heavy rain in a few isolated spots within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Additionally, some high-hill and Himalayan areas might see light rain or snowfall.
Nighttime Forecast (Tonight)
Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, along with other hilly regions, will be partly to generally cloudy. The rest of the country will mainly remain clear.
Like the daytime, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in some parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, including hilly areas. There’s also a chance of heavy rain in one or two isolated spots in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Furthermore, high-hill and the Himalayan parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces could experience light to moderate rain.
