NEPSE Drops by 21.63 Points on Sunday

The NEPSE declined by double digits on Sunday, the first trading day of the week. The market dropped by 21.63 points, settling at 2,714.85 points.

On Sunday, the market declined by 0.79%. A total of 316 securities were traded in 79,031 transactions. In total, 13,974,452 shares were bought and sold, with a total transaction amounting to NPR 6.83 billion (NPR 6,836,640,407). Except for the trading sub-index, all other sub-indices recorded a decline.

Investors in the development bank sector suffered the most losses, as the sub-index fell by 2.25%. However, the trading sub-index increased by 4.92%.

Among the gainers, investors in Samudayik Laghubitta Financial Institution made the highest profit, with its stock price rising by 8.19% to reach NPR 2,390.

Other securities that saw price increases included Bishal Bazar Company, RSDC Laghubitta Financial Institution, and Upper Hewakhola Hydro. On the other hand, investors in Green Development Bank faced the most significant loss, as its stock price dropped by 7.91% to NPR 1,258.

Investors in People’s Hydro, Win Nepal Laghubitta Financial Institution, Prabhu Insurance, and Mahalaxmi Development Bank also suffered losses. Himalayan Reinsurance recorded the highest trading volume on Sunday.
