Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is set to celebrate its third anniversary by launching a nationwide campaign against the recent visit visa scandal. In a secretariat meeting held on Asar 5, the party declared its commitment to raise awareness through both street activism and strong parliamentary presence under the slogan: “Abolish Loot Culture, Promote Civilized Politics.”
The party has scheduled a central committee meeting for 7 Asar at 7 AM, ahead of the official campaign launch. This date also marks the day the party was founded three years ago. Unlike past years when the anniversary was celebrated with tea gatherings at the central office, this year will focus on public engagement and political accountability.
Key decisions from the secretariat meeting include:
- Strengthening RSP’s parliamentary voice regarding the visit visa scandal
- Reviewing the case filed against party president Rabi Lamichhane, labeling it “false and retaliatory”
- Appointing Dr. Swarnim Wagle as head of the Policy and Ideology Department
- Naming Santosh Pariyar as deputy head of the same department
- Assigning Manish Jha to lead the Campaign and Publicity Department
- Appointing Rajan Gautam as chief of the Agriculture Department
The party has instructed its parliamentary wing to speak more assertively in the House about the visa scam and ongoing corruption concerns. By combining its anniversary celebration with a public call for reform, RSP aims to deepen its image as an alternative force in Nepali politics.
