Rabi Lamichhane Appears at Kathmandu District Court

Rastriya Swatantra Party President and former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane appeared at the Kathmandu District Court in connection with the Swarnalaxmi Cooperative case.

On Thursday, Lamichhane was released on bail by the Kaski District Court in a fraud case involving the Pokhara-based Suryadarshan Cooperative’s savings. On Friday, he came to Kathmandu and contacted the police. On Sunday, police presented him before the Kathmandu District Court regarding the case filed against him.

Lamichhane arrived at the court shortly before the legal proceedings began as part of the investigation process.

Earlier, the court had ordered his release on a bail amount of NPR 6.5 million in the Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case. Following the court’s decision, Lamichhane was released from custody after 84 days.

There are also ongoing preparations to file fraud cases against Lamichhane involving Rupandehi’s Supreme Cooperative, Chitwan’s Sahara Chitwan, and Parsa’s Sano Paila Cooperative.
