The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has announced it will continue its obstruction during the Prime Minister’s direct question-and-answer session in Parliament.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire had urged the RSP not to disrupt or shout during the session. He met RSP Chief Santosh Pariyar on Friday morning at his office in New Baneshwor and requested that the party allow the session to proceed peacefully.
The Speaker emphasized that shouting in the Parliament well while the Prime Minister is speaking is not appropriate and asked the party to consider other forms of protest. However, Pariyar responded that the RSP will continue its disruption.
As a result, Friday’s scheduled House of Representatives meeting, set to begin at 11 AM, had not started as of reporting. The PM’s Q&A session is first on the day’s agenda.
