A tragic accident occurred in Ghurbise, Falgunanda Rural Municipality-5 of Panchthar, where one worker died and two others lost consciousness while working inside an under-construction septic tank. The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Ratna Chemjong, while the unconscious workers, 24-year-old Bhisma Chemjong and 40-year-old Biru Chemjong, are currently undergoing treatment. According to DSP Hemant Bhandari of the District Police Office, the incident happened when one worker initially entered the tank and became unconscious, prompting the other two to go in and attempt a rescue, but they too lost consciousness due to the toxic environment. The septic tank was being constructed by the Ghurbise Panchami Cooperative. Upon receiving the report, a police team led by ASI Sher Bahadur Rai was dispatched from the Faktep police post and managed to extract the workers with the help of a JCB. The workers were immediately taken to Ilam Hospital, where Ratna Chemjong was declared dead.
