Niranjan Adhikari has been elected as the new President of the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF). He won the election held on Thursday by defeating Prakash Timalsina with a margin of 10 votes.
Other Key Positions Filled in NSJF Election
Anjan Khadka and Anil Malla Thakuri were elected as General Secretary and Secretary respectively. Ramesh Subedi, Kabiras Sharma, and Abhinav Joshi were chosen as members.
Muna Karki Makes History in NSJF
Muna Karki was elected unopposed as the Treasurer, becoming the first woman to hold an executive post in the NSJF’s 30-year history. Namita Dahal was also elected unopposed as the female member.
Prajwal Oli, Sanjeev Silpakar, and Govinda Regmi Also Elected
Prajwal Oli was elected unopposed as the First Vice-President. Sanjeev Silpakar and Govinda Regmi were elected as Vice-Presidents.
Niranjan Adhikari Promises New Initiatives for Sports Journalists
After winning the election, Niranjan Adhikari said the new team will continue the forum’s previous programs and introduce new plans that support sports journalists across Nepal.
