A person has died after a scooter collided with a tractor in Kanchanpur.
The accident occurred in Bhimdatta Municipality-11 when a scooter (registration number Su Pra Pa 02-003 Pa 6732) crashed into the back of a tractor (registration number Ma 1 Ta 1020) moving in the same direction.
According to the police, 40-year-old Prem Giri, who was riding as a passenger on the scooter, died while undergoing treatment. He was initially taken to Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadhi and later referred to Bhojipura, India, for further treatment. However, doctors declared him dead before he could be taken there.
The police have taken 42-year-old Santosh Kunwar, the scooter rider and a resident of the same area, into custody for investigation.
