Police investigating the murder of a couple in Pyuthan have found a blood-stained hammer in a nearby field, about 50 meters from their house.
Based on this discovery, police suspect the killer may have used the hammer to commit the crime.
According to DSP Dipesh Basyal of the District Police Office, the couple was found with severe head injuries, and the presence of the hammer in the field suggests it was used in the attack.
On Saturday at around 12:30 PM, police received information that 60-year-old Ram Bahadur Pariyar and his 56-year-old wife, Hukma Pariyar, were found dead in their home in Mandavi Rural Municipality-2, Ratapani.
Neighbors informed the police by phone, and officers from the Tiram police station were dispatched to the scene. Later, a team led by DSP Basyal arrived from the district headquarters for further investigation.
During the investigation, DSP Basyal stated that the couple was brutally murdered by repeated blows to the head.
