Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, who has been away from films lately, is currently focusing on her personal life and her IPL commitments. She’s quite active on social media, where she regularly interacts with her fans. But this time, a viral video featuring her has caught her attention for all the wrong reasons.
Viral Video Claims Preity Hugged Vaibhav – But It’s Fake!
A video started trending on social media, claiming that Preity Zinta hugged Vaibhav Suryavanshi in Jaipur. The clip was accompanied by an edited photo and a dramatic caption:
A little shy, a little nervous… then what happened when Preity hugged Vaibhav? The video went viral like wildfire!
However, the truth is far from what’s being shown.
Preity Zinta Responds: “This Is Morphed and Fake News”
Once this video and the claims started gaining attention, Preity quickly addressed it on her official social media account. She wrote:
“This is a morphed image and fake news. I’m shocked that even news channels are treating these edited pictures as real.”
She expressed disappointment over such misleading content spreading online and urged people not to fall for such false narratives.
What Actually Happened in the Real Video
The original video was shared by the Rajasthan Royals’ official X (formerly Twitter) account. In the clip, Preity is seen having a brief interaction with cricketers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shashank Singh. She then goes over to meet Vaibhav Suryavanshi, shakes hands, and exchanges a few words.
There is no scene of a hug, as the viral post falsely claimed.
Interestingly, the background music used in the video is the emotional track “Koi Mil Gaya”, which may have added to the sentimental tone of the moment — but the video remains respectful and friendly.
Preity Zinta Calls Out False Content
Preity Zinta made it clear that these doctored images and misleading headlines are unacceptable. She urged media houses and social media users to verify facts before spreading rumors.
