The Allu Arjun starrer “Pushpa 2” has crossed the ₹1,000 crore milestone at the global box office, collecting an impressive ₹1,029.9 crore within 17 days of its release.
On its third Saturday, the movie saw a significant boost in collections, earning ₹25 crore, a 74% jump from Friday’s earnings. The Hindi-dubbed version has been a major contributor, generating ₹652.9 crore, while the original Telugu version added ₹302.35 crore to the total.
Industry experts anticipate the film will soon surpass the lifetime earnings of “Baahubali 2,” which grossed ₹1,040 crore, potentially achieving this milestone by the end of the weekend. With the Christmas and New Year holidays approaching, “Pushpa 2” is expected to see further revenue growth.
Meanwhile, a dispute has emerged between PVR Inox and the film’s distributors over the allocation of screens for the upcoming holiday season. This issue is compounded by the release of another high-profile film, “Baby John,” starring Varun Dhawan, on Christmas Day. Both parties are expected to reach a resolution by Monday.
