A road accident in Kawasoti, East Nawalparasi, has left the Chief of the Mugu District Coordination Committee and another individual injured.
The incident occurred at Chalis Kilo in Ward No. 16 of Kawasoti Municipality along the East-West Highway. A tipper truck with registration number Bagmati Province 06-001 Kha 0231 collided with a Mugu District Coordination Committee SUV bearing registration number Ba 1 Jha 9116. The injured have been identified as 50-year-old Manjan Karki, Chief of the Mugu District Coordination Committee, and 20-year-old driver Bhabira Karki of Soru-3, Mugu, according to police.
According to DSP JC Shah of the District Police Office, Nawalpur, the accident occurred when the SUV heading to Mugu from Kathmandu collided with the tipper traveling from Chormara to Kawasoti. Both injured individuals are reported to be in moderate condition and are undergoing treatment at Madhyabindu District Hospital in Danda.
