Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who is eagerly awaiting the release of Sikandar on March 30, 2025, sat down for a media interaction where he touched on a variety of topics. From the cancellation of his collaboration with Atlee to his upcoming project with Sanjay Dutt, Salman revealed some interesting details. He also addressed the reasons why he can’t work with actresses Ananya Panday or Janhvi Kapoor, sparking curiosity among fans.

Facing Death Threats and Security Concerns

One of the more serious topics discussed was the ongoing threats to Salman Khan’s life. The actor shared his thoughts on the death threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, saying, “Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai. Kabhi kabhi itne logon ko saath mein leke chalna padta hai, bas wohi problem ho jaati hai.”

2024 has been an unsettling year for Salman, with the shooting incident at his Galaxy apartment in April and the shocking murder of his close friend Baba Siddiqui. These events have left the actor, his family, and fans shaken. To ensure his safety, Salman has been provided with Y+ security by the Maharashtra government, and extra precautions were taken after the murder of Baba Siddiqui. In a precautionary move, the Mumbai Police advised Salman and his family to stay away from balconies and windows facing the street, a measure that led Salman to make his home bulletproof.

A Peek Into Salman’s Family Background

During the media interaction, Salman also shared insights into his parents’ marriage. Born to renowned screenwriter Salim Khan and Salma Khan (formerly Sushila Charak), Salman revealed that his maternal side had concerns about his father’s profession, not the difference in religion. He explained, “It was never about the difference in the Hindu and Muslim culture and the practices, the bigger and more concerning thing at that time was, ‘Ye toh film line se hain’.” His father, Salim Khan, along with his partner Javed Akhtar, gave Bollywood some of its biggest hits in the 1970s, which played a significant role in the family’s challenges.
