A man died in a scooter accident in Dhangadhi.
The incident occurred around 6:30 AM on Sunday on the Dhangadhi–Attariya road section near Mohanpur, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City–13. According to the police, the scooter, with registration number Su Pra 01012 Pa 4648, was heading towards Attariya when it crashed.
The rider, 35-year-old Chotelal Chaudhary from Dhangadhi–7, Manhara, died in the accident. Kailali District Police spokesperson DSP Raj Kumar Singh confirmed the death. He said the scooter went out of control and hit the road divider.
Chaudhary had suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadhi for treatment, but doctors declared him dead.
A 32-year-old woman named Sita Kusmi from Dhangadhi-12, who was riding on the back of the scooter, was also injured. She is currently being treated at the same hospital.
