A 17-year-old girl who had recently appeared for the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) was found dead at her home in the Bajhang district.
Akanksha Malla, a resident of Kedarsyun Rural Municipality-1, Rayal, was discovered hanging in her room on Tuesday evening, according to the District Police Office, Bajhang. She had returned home after taking the science exam earlier that day.
Authorities recovered a suicide note at the scene, in which she stated that her decision was solely her own and not influenced by anyone else. However, the exact reason behind her tragic action remains unclear.
Police suspect that academic pressure or dissatisfaction with her exam performance may have contributed to the incident. Akanksha was a student at Garjepani Secondary School, where her father also serves as a teacher.
