Man Found in Gulmi

The skeleton of a man who had been missing for two months has been found in Gulmi.

According to DSP Ganga Bahadur Saru from the District Police Office, the remains were identified as those of Ratan Shahi, a resident of Gulmidarbar Rural Municipality-6–6.

Police said 55-year-old Shahi had been living alone and had gone missing two months ago.

On Monday night, a dog brought back something that looked like a human head. After seeing it, local ward member Sundar Kunwar informed the police.

On Tuesday morning, police and locals searched the area. During the search, they found other parts of the body in the Kalika Community Forest.

Based on the clothes found with the remains, the police and Shahi’s family confirmed the identity as Ratan Shahi.

Police believe he may have died after falling while cutting grass. Further investigation is underway, led by Inspector Bhupendra Thapa.
