India’s star opener Smriti Mandhana has jumped to second place in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings after her superb performance in the Sri Lanka Women’s Tri-Series final.
Smriti Mandhana Century Powers Ranking Climb
Mandhana smashed 116 runs from just 101 balls in the final against Sri Lanka, helping India secure a 23-run victory. She also scored a half-century earlier against South Africa in the group stage. These performances have lifted her to 727 rating points, just 11 points behind top-ranked Laura Wolvaardt.

Mandhana wasn’t the only Indian batter to climb the rankings.
- Jemimah Rodrigues moved up five spots to 15th after scoring a career-best 123 runs against South Africa.

South Africa’s Mixed Fortunes

- Chloe Tryon jumped nine spots to 18th after scoring 67 and 74 in the tournament. She’s now just seven points away from her career-best 601 rating points.
- Tryon also took a hat-trick against Sri Lanka, which helped her climb 14 spots to 50th in the bowling rankings and move up to 11th in the all-rounders’ list.
Other notable South African moves:
- Tazmin Brits: now joint 32nd.
- Annerie Dercksen: up to 50th.

Bowling Rankings: Steady at the Top

- Sri Lanka’s Sugandika Kumari also rose four places to 37th.
