Squid Game' Season 2

The highly anticipated second season of Netflix’s series Squid Game is now streaming. The show has gained significant popularity in Nepal as well.

Although Netflix hasn’t released official viewership data, international media reports that since its premiere on December 26, the series has become one of the most-watched globally. Within 24 hours of its release, it ranked as the most-watched series in 92 countries, including the USA, India, South Korea, the UK, Australia, Thailand, Brazil, France, Mexico, South Africa, and Argentina. In New Zealand, it holds the second spot.

The South Korean series has received high ratings, scoring 8 out of 10 on IMDb and 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. The story of Season 2 follows the main character, Seong Gi-hun, as he returns to the deadly game. Unlike the first season, where he participated to win money and escape debt, this time, he’s fighting to end the game altogether.

If you’ve watched the first season, the second season promises to be even more thrilling. Once again, 456 players compete in the deadly challenges. Season 2 has a total of seven episodes.

Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has also hinted at a third season. In an interview with Variety magazine, he shared that Season 3 might be released next summer.
