The Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2024-25 has officially started today (Tuesday) with the 5th event taking place at the Gokarna Golf Club in Kathmandu. The competition, which will span over 72 holes, is scheduled to run until Friday.
A total of 30 professional golfers and 10 amateur players will be competing in the event, with a prize pool of NPR 8,82,000. The winner will receive NPR 150,000, while the runner-up will get NPR 100,000, and the third-place finisher will be awarded NPR 75,000. According to the organizers, the top 21 players will receive cash prizes.
Professional golfers including Bhuvan Nagarkoti, Niraj Tamang, Ravi Khadka, Dinesh Prajapati, Jayaram Shrestha, Dhan Thapa, and Sanjay Lama will be part of the competition. Among the amateurs, Sadhbhaw Acharya and Rahul Bishwa Karma are expected to provide tough competition.
