A serious road accident on Tribhuvan Rajpath has left 14 people injured, with 3 in critical condition.
The van with registration number Province 2-03-001 J 0147 was traveling from Chitlang in Thaha Municipality to Lalbandi, Sarlahi. It veered off the road at Chhaissathi Mode in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-9 and fell nearly 20 meters down the slope, getting stuck against a pine tree.
According to police, the cause of the crash was brake failure. Locals and police teams from Bhaise and Palung rushed to the scene and rescued the passengers. All injured are being taken to Hetauda for treatment.
