A tractor carrying a water tank met with an accident last night at Gupteshwari Temple in Galchhi Rural Municipality-3, killing two young men and injuring two others.
According to the District Police Office, the deceased are 18-year-old Prashant Chepang and 20-year-old Jayaram Chepang from Gajuri Rural Municipality-6. The injured, 19-year-old Shirish Chepang and 17-year-old Suresh Chepang, have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment.
The accident happened while reversing the tractor (Bagmati Province 01-004 K 3352) after delivering water to Gupteshwari Temple from Adamghat. Four people were on the tractor. The police have taken 23-year-old driver Dinesh Chepang, also from Gajuri Rural Municipality-6, into custody.
