A 39-year-old woman from Rautahat, Rajkumari Chaudhary, sadly died while being flown to Kathmandu for medical treatment. Her husband, Jung Bahadur Chaudhary, was bringing her on a plane from Simara Airport to Kathmandu when she lost consciousness mid-flight.
According to Kathmandu police spokesperson SP Apilraj Bohara, Rajkumari was already in poor health and became unconscious on the plane. Upon arrival at KMC Hospital, doctors declared her dead.
Her body has been taken to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, for a post-mortem examination as part of further investigations. This heartbreaking incident highlights the urgent challenges faced in emergency medical care and transportation in remote areas.
