The accident occurred in the Mandsaur area of Madhya Pradesh. According to the local police, the devotees were on their way to a temple when the accident happened.
The vehicle first collided with a motorcycle. It then went out of control and fell into a nearby well.
The motorcyclist also died at the scene. It has also been reported that one person who jumped into the well to rescue those trapped in the vehicle also died.
