A woman set herself on fire by pouring petrol on her body in Balaju, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–16.
The woman has been identified as 45-year-old Bina Shrestha, who lives in Jagruti Tole, Balaju.
According to SP and spokesperson Apilraj Bohora of the Kathmandu District Police, the incident happened around 10 PM on Sunday night. Police said she set herself on fire after an argument with her husband.
She is currently being treated at People’s Hospital in Nayabazar. Doctors said about 25% of her body, including her stomach, chest, and left hand, has been burned.
Balaju Police Circle is investigating the incident.
