Two fugitives involved in a murder and drug-related case have been arrested. The police apprehended a teenager from Geruwa Rural Municipality-5, who had been sentenced to 22 days in prison by the District Court on 31st Baishakh (13th May). The teenager was found hiding in the Gulariya Municipality-6 area.
In a separate drug case, the police arrested 37-year-old Naresh Khatri from Banke, Baijanath Rural Municipality-3, who had been evading arrest after being sentenced by the District Court on 30th Baishakh (12th May). Khatri was sentenced to 1 month and 17 days in prison, a fine of 4,000 rupees, and a 200 rupee payment to the victim relief fund.
Both individuals have been brought before the District Court for necessary legal action, as stated by District Police Office’s Information Officer and DSP Rishiram Gharti Magar.
