Two poachers arrested in Syangja for killing rare barking deer
Two poachers have been arrested on charges of killing a rare barking deer in the Maji Danda forest of Putalibazar Municipality-11, Syangja, on Tuesday midnight.
According to the District Police Office, Syangja, the arrested individuals have been identified as Kharka Bahadur Gurung, approximately 44 years old, from Putalibazar Municipality-10, and Saubhahadur Gurung, approximately 43 years old, from Putalibazar Municipality-11.
Police have recovered a muzzleloader gun and the carcass of the barking deer from their possession.
Further investigation into the arrested individuals is ongoing, and the dead barking deer has been handed over to the Division Forest Office, Syangja, for further inquiry, police said.
