Varnabas Museum Hotel to Issue IPO

Varnabas Museum Hotel is set to issue an initial public offering (IPO) for the general public. The hotel’s first annual general meeting passed a special proposal to issue the IPO. Varnabas is a five-star boutique luxury hotel located in Kathmandu. Built on its own land, Varnabas combines world-class infrastructure with cultural significance.

The hotel represents Nepal’s regional, cultural, and geographical diversity. The Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse peaks are visible on top of the hotel. The hotel is categorized into three themes: Himal (mountains), Pahad (hills), and Terai (plains). The Himal section reflects Sherpa culture, Pahad embodies Gorkha bravery, and Terai showcases Tharu art. To highlight Nepalese art and culture, each room is named after villages from the Himal, Pahad, and Terai regions.

The hotel has stated that it provides an opportunity for Nepali investors to invest in a property that is culturally symbolic and economically secure. “The capital market is an effective means of raising capital, which can contribute to long-term economic growth. However, if its speculative nature is not controlled, it may remain limited to short-term profits,” reads a statement issued by the hotel. “For sustainable economic development, priority should be given to companies based on real business, strong infrastructure, and long-term vision.”

The hotel emphasized that if the capital market aligns with real business needs rather than mere speculation, it can serve as a tool for sustainable economic growth.
