A 60-year-old woman from Musikot Municipality-7, Paltar, Gulmi, died after coming into contact with an electric fence set up to keep monkeys away.
According to Gulmi Police, the deceased has been identified as Chandrakala Kumal. She was injured when she accidentally touched the electric wire installed by her husband, Karna Bahadur Kumal, in their farmland.
SP Rajan Bhujel informed that Chandrakala was taken to Lumbini Wami Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead.
A police team led by Inspector Rajkumar Thapa has been deployed from the District Police Office, Gulmi, for further investigation.
