A 26-year-old man, Nirajan Thapa from Shivnagar, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-5, Kailali, was caught by police for pretending to be a police assistant inspector (Asai) and scamming money.

He was arrested on Saturday by the temporary police post at Buspark, Kailali. Nirajan reportedly demanded money repeatedly from the owner of Dhami Hotel in Buspark, claiming to be an Asai from the Bureau.
