Dhangadhi, Kailali – A 28-year-old man lost his life after drowning in a water pit while bathing in Dhangadhi on Thursday.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Seven Rana, a resident of Rajpur in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-13. He had gone to bathe in a pit formed by water from a boring system when the tragic incident occurred.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Rana was suffering from epilepsy, which may have contributed to the drowning. Authorities are conducting further inquiries into the incident.
Local residents and authorities have expressed concerns over the safety hazards posed by open water pits, especially for individuals with medical conditions.
