Mahesh Rana, a 26-year-old local from Dilashaini Rural Municipality–3, Simar, has gone missing after jumping into the Chaulani River on Monday morning around 6:30 AM, according to Baitadi District Police Office. Police spokesperson Balram Pandey stated that officers were immediately deployed to the scene after receiving the report and that search operations are underway. The reason behind Rana’s action remains unknown, and further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
