10 Injured in Rautahat Bus Accident, 7 Indian Nationals Among Victims

A passenger bus traveling from Kathmandu to Mahottari lost control and skidded off the road in Chandrapur Municipality-2, Rautahat, early Monday morning. The accident, which occurred around 4:30 AM, left 10 people injured—7 of them Indian nationals.

The bus (Bagmati Province 01-006 Kha 5216) veered about 7 feet off the road, according to Rautahat police spokesperson DSP Deepak Raya. There were 25 passengers on board.

Injured Indian nationals include Rekha Devi (44), Jahdevi Jha (22), Bisu Kumar Patel (11), Mohammad Amjad (26), Mohammad Akil, Nargis Khatun (38), and 2-year-old Ayas Pratik.

Nepali citizens injured in the crash are Anushka Nigam (23) from Dhanusha, Santoshi Thakur (35) from Janakpur, and Poonam Thakur (43) from Jaleshwar, Mahottari.
