At least 13 people died and 20 others were injured in two separate road accidents in Karnataka, a southern state of India, on Wednesday, according to local police.
All those who died were vegetable sellers traveling to a nearby wholesale market to sell their produce. The injured are being treated at a hospital in Hubli district. Some of them are in critical condition, and the death toll may rise.
In another accident in Raichur district, a passenger vehicle overturned, killing four people, including three students aged around 20 years, and injuring 10 others.
The vehicle had about 15 passengers at the time of the accident.
