A tragic incident occurred in Sarlahi where a 6-year-old boy drowned in a pit dug for road construction.
The boy, Sushant Yadav, son of Dinesh Yadav, was a resident of Janakinagar Tole, Haripur Municipality-1. According to the District Police Office, Sarlahi, he went missing while playing around 10 AM on Tuesday.
Later, during a search operation, his body was found around 11 PM in a water-filled pit approximately 500 meters southeast of his home. The pit had been dug using a JCB machine for road construction.
Police have confirmed that further investigation is underway regarding the incident.
