Nepali Congress Leader Romani Pathak Passes Away

Romani Pathak, a senior leader of the Nepali Congress in Rupandehi, has passed away. He had been suffering from cancer for a long time and died on Thursday morning at his home in Manigram, Rupandehi. His family has shared that his last rites will be performed at Tinau Ghat, near Manigram.

Pathak was actively involved in the democratic movement and the Nepali Congress. He also contributed significantly to society through various social organizations.

He was the founding chairman of Saraswati Sanskrit Campus in Manigram and also founded Rammani Multiple Campus, later serving as its chairman. Pathak played a key role in many social initiatives in Rupandehi and was known as a selfless, loyal, and helpful leader in the region.

Mayor of Tilottama Municipality, Ram Krishna Khan, stated that Pathak’s death has caused a great loss to the people of Rupandehi and the democratic movement. He added that they have lost a trusted advisor and guide.

Leaders from the Nepali Congress, including former parliamentarian Bharat Shah and Tilottama Mayor Ram Krishna Khan, paid their respects by draping the party flag over Pathak’s body during the farewell ceremony. Pathak was born in Galyang, Syangja, on Poush 23, 2012. He is survived by his wife, two sons, and one daughter.
