RSP Calls Meeting

After a case was filed against party president Rabi Lamichhane in connection with a cooperative fraud case, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has called a Secretariat meeting. The meeting is scheduled for 4 PM on Monday and will be held virtually.

The agenda of today’s meeting includes discussions on the current political situation and the appointment of an acting party president. According to RSP’s rules, when the president is absent, the vice president becomes the acting president. Currently, RSP has two vice presidents, Dol Prasad Aryal and Swarnim Wagle. As per Section 24, Subsection 3(2) of the party’s rules, the acting president will be the one chosen by the president or the senior vice president based on age.
