ANNFSU Coalition Secures Major Victory, NSU Wins Only One Post in Sukuna Muntiple Campus

Elected candidates of Sukuna Muntiple Campus

The Free Student Union (FSU) election at Sukuna Multiple Campus concluded with a major victory for the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) partnership. The election was contested between a coalition of five student unions, including ANNFSU and All Nepal Independent Students Union (ANNISU), against their only competitor, the Nepal Student Union (NSU).

A total of 1,847 votes were cast out of more than 3,500 eligible voters, showing a significant student participation in electing their representatives.

Presidential Election

The position of President was secured by Alish Ojha of the ANNFSU partnership, who received 985 votes. His closest competitor, Bijay Ojha of NSU, managed 686 votes, while another candidate received only 13 votes.

Secretary Election

The post of Secretary was won by Rohan Khatri (Dear Kaley) of the ANNFSU partnership with 919 votes. His opponent, Arjun Dahal of NSU, received 841 votes, falling short by 78 votes.

Treasurer Election

In a significant result, NSU candidate Sabina Thapa won the Treasurer (Kosadakshya) post, securing 924 votes. Her competitor from the ANNFSU coalition, Anish Poudel, obtained 834 votes, making her one NSU candidates to win a major post.

Members Election

Among the elected members, Ghanashyam Khawash received the highest number of votes, securing 1,041. Another candidate, Nikesh Dahal, also crossed the 1,000-vote mark with 1,014 votes. Below is the full list of candidates for member post and their vote counts:

  • Sudip Jung Khadka – 667 votes
  • Prabat Raut – 647 votes
  • Denish Shrestha – 646 votes
  • Ashish Sundash – 630 votes
  • Roshan Poudel – 630 votes
  • Bipasa Chapagain – 738 votes

The election demonstrated strong student engagement and resulted in a decisive win for the ANNFSU partnership, with NSU managing to secure one key position. The high voter turnout reflects students’ interest in shaping their leadership for the campus.
